What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is primarily concerned with the spine and its relationship to the nervous system. The body is controlled by the central nervous system, which is largely housed within the spine. Alterations to the housing of such a delicate and vital system can lead to altered communication between the body and the brain. Chiropractors use specific adjustments to help reintroduce normal positioning and motion of the spine and reduce interference to the nervous system.
The premiss of Chiropractic is simple: The body has an inborn intelligence that controls and coordinates all its functions. The bodies natural state is health, any deviation from that is caused by a physical, chemical or emotional stress, which affects the bodies natural ability to adapt.
Chiropractic, through regular adjustments, helps make sure the communication pathways operate as clearly as possible, and when paired with good nutrition/hydration, regular exercise and the practice of mindfulness, the bodies ability might just surprise you.
